Caffeine and cycling go hand in hand. Always have and always will.

It is inexpensive, convenient, and it works. Yes, there is a mountain of scientific evidence supporting caffeine’s affect on athletic performance. Some studies have measured up to a 6% increase in performance. Experiencing the lift a mid-ride espresso delivers is typically what keeps cyclists coming back for more caffeine. We all know that it works.

Now imagine getting that lift, nearly instantly, without stopping. That’s exactly what you get with Floyd’s Performance+ Focus Fuel. Thanks to FlashRelease™ technology, Focus Fuel oral strips have a much higher bioavailability, meaning you will feel the effects fast. This also means that you absorb the dose 3x compared to digestion. So our 50mg strip feels more like 150mg from an energy drink.

We have found the perfect compliment to the caffeine boost: Alpha GPC. Alpha GPC is an acetylcholine precursor, meaning it provides the building blocks your body needs to synthesize acetylcholine. Acytylcholine is responsible for the action potential signaling that allows muscles to contract. Early clinical research has demonstrated this action may result in an increase in power output, particularly in situations like a sprint finish at the end of a long race. Alpha GPC has also been shown to increase focus, perfect for that mental drift that we all experience at the end of long days.

Caffeine

Caffeine is one of the most studied supplements in the world. Studies correlate its use to increased exercise performance in endurance activities, as well as its possible ergogenic effects for both intermittent and strength activities.

Alpha GPC

L-alpha-glycerylphosphorylcholine – is a compound that contains choline, a fatty acid found in foods like eggs and soy.

Caffeine

Caffeine is one of the most studied supplements in the world. Studies correlate its use to increased exercise performance in endurance activities, as well as its possible ergogenic effects for both intermittent and strength activities.

Why Caffeine?

Caffeine is ergogenic, or performance-enhancing in almost every exercise and sporting scenario that has been studied. The performance-enhancing effects of caffeine are maintained when administered in alternate forms other than capsules/tablets and coffee, including sports and energy drinks, gels, gum, bars and dissolvable mouth strips. There ergogenic effects of caffeine appear to result from antagonistic interactions with adenosine receptors in the central and peripheral nervous systems, increasing central drive and reducing the perception of effort and pain during exercise.

Alpha GPC

Alpha-GPC, or L-alpha-glycerylphosphorylcholine, is a compound that contains choline, a nutrient naturally found in foods like eggs and soy. While our bodies produce some choline, it can also be supplemented with alpha-GPC. People seek to optimize their choline intake because it’s vital for producing acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that plays a key role in memory and learning functions.

Why Alpha GPC?

Choline is essential for various physiological processes, including neurotransmitter synthesis (acetylcholine), cell membrane signaling (phospholipids), lipid transport (lipoproteins), and methyl-group metabolism (homocysteine reduction). Endurance exercise may strain these pathways, raising the body’s demand for choline as a metabolic resource. Recent studies show that plasma choline levels significantly decreased after a placebo (non-choline-supplemented) run but increased by 74% at the end of a 20-mile exertion when choline was taken before and midway through the run.

A-GPC effectively enhances lower body force production after just 6 days of supplementation.
